We can help you adhere to current regulations to help make sure your water systems are safe. If you require deadleg removal, TMV servicing/replacement/installation, to rectify any faults that have been flagged up in a legionella risk assessment report, or any other
remedial works, our team of experts can help.
REPLACEMENT OF COLD WATER STORAGE TANKS
Neglected cold water storage tanks are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria such as legionella to proliferate.
We have replaced many old, galvanised steel tanks that have not been properly maintained, with new pre-insulated GRP sectional tanks.
This ensures a fresh, clean, water supply to the building’s users, and also complies to current regulations.
INTERNALLY PAINTING COLD WATER STORAGE TANKS
Whilst it’s usually better to replace a cold water storage tank that’s in a really poor condition, it isn’t always feasible.
If required, we can scrape the corroded tank, clean it, and paint in a two-part epoxy paint which is specifically made for cold water storage tanks.
All tanks are disinfected in accordance with PD855468 before being put back online.
TMV SERVICING
We can service, replace & install TMV’s
A thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) is a device that blends the hot and cold water to produce water at a temperature that safeguards against the risk of scalding – typically between 39 °C and 43°C
The HSE guidance identifies the following populations that are most vulnerable to injury,
and where TMV’s should be considered –
- Children
- Older People
- People with reduced mental capacity, mobility, or temperature sensitivity
- People who cannot react appropriately or quickly enough to prevent injury
