Theatre Clinical Deep Cleaning

Poor hygiene in healthcare establishments such as hospitals, dentists and GP surgeries can put people’s lives at risk. Infections can spread quickly throughout these areas with devastating consequences. Healthcare environments have strict legislation surrounding the standards of hygiene that must be maintained. Providing a clean and safe environment ensures the risk to patients is reduced to a minimum. Hygiene Contracts Ltd carry out clinical deep cleans – from routine clinical cleans or an emergency clean. We are aware of the importance of having a clinical clean completed in which some cases we have responded to sites within 2 hours.

Hygiene Contracts use an approved chemical that is classified as a biocide under the EU Biocides Regulations. The chemical used is a high-level and sporicidal disinfectant solution designed specifically for use on large surface areas. It can be decanted into smaller containers for application on small surface areas. The chemical combines the powerful biocidal efficacy of chlorine dioxide with excellent cleaning action.

The chemical used is sporicidal, mycobactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and bactericidal in five minutes. Chlorine dioxide has been tested in accredited laboratories worldwide and is proven effective against a wide range of microorganisms, including:

– Clostridium difficile

– Mycobacterium terrae (surrogate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis)

– Murine Norovirus (surrogate of Norovirus)

– Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE)

– Escherichia coli (E. Coli)

– Multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (MDRA)

– Aspergillus brasiliensis (formerly niger)

– Adenovirus

– Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)

– Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

– Hepatitis B Virus

– Hepatitis C Virus
As well as Hygiene Contracts clinical deep cleaning services, we also provide a 24 hour rapid response solution to healthcare organisations that have urgent requests, for areas to be cleaned and disinfected rapidly. This ensures that these areas are able to function to full capacity extremely quickly whilst ensuring that a clean environment is kept.
