Fire dampers working efficiently are crucial to ventilation systems. They are designed to prevent
fire from being able to spread through the ductwork or other areas of a building.
If they are not working correctly it can cause fires/smoke to pass through the system quickly &
into the building if a fire occurs.
Hygiene Contracts can help ensure you are meeting your legal requirements in accordance with
Pay Less For Fire Damper Testing & Maintenance. Ensure You Are Compliant With Current Regulations.
Regular fire damper testing (drop testing) is critical to ensure that if there was a fire, the fire
dampers work effectively and will close to stop the spread of the fire throughout the building.
All dampers will have a pre-photo, a photo of the fire damper closed, and a photo of the fire damper reset to normal position after testing has been carried out. We will also photograph the associated ductwork to show the internal condition and record all the locations of the fire dampers on site.
This information will all contained within a comprehensive report, with any faults noted. You will also receive a certificate upon completion of the works.
Hygiene Contracts undertaken all forms of plumbing works on domestic hot and cold water systems. Neglected cold water storage tanks are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria such as legionella to proliferate.
We have replaced many old, galvanised steel tanks that have not been properly maintained, with new pre-insulated GRP sectional tanks. This ensures a fresh, clean, water supply to the building’s users, and also complies to current regulations.
Hygiene Contracts are registered with the Legionella Control Association, & use the very latest methods of disinfection techniques & modern disinfection chemicals to ensure a superior level of hygiene, stripping of layers of bio-film known to harbour the legionella bacteria, whilst being safer, environmentally-friendly and better value for money. On completion of every contract a certificate of completion will be issued. Numerous types of bacteria can be present in water, including the potentially fatal legionella. Neglected tanks are extremely high risk areas for the spread of disease as legionella bacteria can proliferate where conditions in water systems are allowed to deteriorate.

Having a fresh air supply to be distributed in your workplace is key to safe, comfortable and efficient working conditions. Hygiene Contracts can ensure this by providing a complete duct cleaning service in accordance with TR/19. An essential factor is that the heating ventilation and air conditioning ductwork system must be kept clean. All ductwork systems can build up unwanted dust and associated debris which can cause harm to the buildings users. This can be controlled and maintained by Hygiene Contracts creating a cleaning programme that suits your ventilation systems.
Cleanliness and fire safety is an essential ingredient in a well managed kitchen. At the heart of the matter lays your kitchen grease extract system, an area for grease and oil deposits to build up within the canopy and other associated components causing a potential fire risk, in which around 70% of commercial kitchen fires, originate from faulty ventilation that has grease build ups. Keeping canopy hoods and filters regularly cleaned as part of a kitchen cleaning regime is the easy part. But what happens to the ductwork and the fans, the part’s you can’t see?
